Blessings
Blessings
I never once tried to strategize , hold to highly, or prioritize,
I played the hand as dealt with out ever folding
I always said you could jail me up, take it all away for knowing.
Steal me my time back, stop, rewind, I’ll be growing
When I think of all my troubles, seems to me the pain nearly doubles
When I warp my perceptions of the situation.
Never mind the hell that I go thru, I wouldn’t ever want to misconstrue.
The pain I leave in my wake is always far greater.
Let it go, let it go.
I try to live life everyday, And hope the bright shining sun will light my way
But even if it turns. Cold, dark and grey, baby when I’ve had enough,
I count my blessings every day.
Even if it’s me that’s in the way, baby when you’ve had enough, count your blessings everyday.
And as I wade thru my muck and mire, and all the drama that has transpired
I try to learn from each unique situation.
Kind of like climbing a mountain, from each side, now I own that mountain,
But with it comes now a care taking obligation.
While in the end, nothing really matters, don’t let their nonsense, tear or tatter, the fabric of your being or heart’s ambition.
For they only know what they’ve been told, all the while they embrace the hold, avoiding at each turn any consternation.
I try to live life everyday, And hope the bright shining sun will light my way
But even if it turns. Cold, dark and grey, baby when I’ve had enough,
I count my blessings every day.
Even if it’s me that’s in the way, baby when you’ve had enough, count your blessings everyday.
