Martyrs Remorse

Martyr’s Remorse

On the longest, coldest day of the year, it may have finally dawned on me.
Once your mind’s made up and your back is turned, the rest is your history
Finding pride stopped at a traffic light when they all go right and you go left.
On my last leg, or with my dying breath, I’ll know I always did my best.

Cheer me on, tear me down, pay no mind, ain’t no matter
Cause when all alone, and all is gone, time stamps still, nothing matters
I’m in my head head, so deep inside, trying hard just to figure
Where I stand in all of me, deeply breath

So if your just gonna sit all day and judge me, your a little late.
Martyr’s remorse never breaks but permeates everything in it’s wake.
Held captive by ones self, makes for one hell of a prison break
I’m the fountain, the for father, the first to burn, The first to break.

Cheer me on, tear me down, pay no mind, ain’t no matter
Cause when all alone, and all is gone, time stamps still, nothing matters
I’m in my head head, so deep inside, trying hard just to figure
Where I stand in all of me, deeply breath
